Today in the mission I spotted a glorious protege with one pink and one red magnetic heart stuck on the back. Right above a bumper tattered from parking in SF’s rough streets.

I drove a '93 Mazda Protégé for years and just sold it. I would always see my ghetto protege brothers and sisters on the road and wonder why they always seemed to have the same dents and the same hubcap missing. Here's my attempt to figure it out, and if not, just an appreciation of the road warriors that are proteges.
